On a bright January day I walked up the Getty Center instead of taking the Tram.
The Center reveals itself gradually.
In January the sycamore trees are bare.
The structures are stark
and not softened by foliage.
The trunks and branches are
light grey and mottled
and pretty against the buildings.
In the Bowl Garden the bare trees are not sycamores,
they are Crape Myrtles.
