Green Fruit Beetle
Iridescent green, one inch long (Cotinus mutabilis) Green Fruit Beetles fly through the garden in mid-summer. They lay eggs in the compost pile and are attracted to the ripening fruit:
figs,
pomegranates,
oranges,
persimmons.
