Getty Center/ Blooming in the Circle Garden
There is a wild profusion
of flowers
in the Circle Garden.
I like to see varieties
of
flowers
that I have never seen before.
Like a purple petunia with white spots!

Getty Center/ Circle Garden Plants
Along the upper paths to the Circle Garden are white Crepe Myrtle trees with
Society Garlic growing underneath.
Every time I visit the garden,
different plants are growing and blooming.
There are mixtures of
colors and textures composed
the way an artist would do a painting.

The Getty Center/ Circle Garden
The Circle Garden, designed by Robert Irwin is the most variable of the Getty Center Gardens.
The flowers change with the season. Here Sweet Peas are growing on the railings.
The pathways spiral down.
The beds are filled with
plants that grow in mounds, or
sprawl, or
climb upward like the Sweet Peas.

This view looks at the
Bougainvillea Bowers
designed by Robert Irwin
so the vines would be supported and
the flowers would
spill outward.

June Visit to the Getty
On a grey morning with "June Gloom" I went to the Getty Center.
The slow walk up the hill
allows views of the buildings and sculpture.
On the first level are places to sit,
plantings and a sculpture by
Jack Zajac,
titled: "Big Skull and Horns in Two Parts."

In my neighborhood these plants are blooming.

Roses
The roses start blooming in my garden in March.
The various kinds bloom
at different times,
with different
forms.
If I am lucky,
the roses will
keep blooming through fall.
