MOCA/ Part 1

I went to see the Kerry James Marshall exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in downtown Los Angeles. The painter has many themes running through his artwork.

An artist with a palette or

in the studio,

abstracts,

brightly colored.

Here in one painting is a section of prisms, like seen through the lens of a camera.

A Trip Downtown

First to the Coburn School of Music to see this mobile by Peter Shire made in 1998.

It is made of aluminum, polychrome enamel and

murano glass.

Amaryllis

I have Amaryllis (Hippeastrum) growing in pots.

They bloom at different times,

starting in late spring,

into summer.
