White, Pink and Purple

I like these colors in my garden.

June in my Neighborhood

In a walk around my neighborhood, here are a few of the flowering plants I saw: Oakleaf Hydrangea,

Kangaroo Paws,

White Trumpet Vine,

Thunbergia,

Salvia and Lantana,

Gauria,

and Acanthus.

Cymbidiums

I have three colors of Cymbidiums in my garden.  

A golden color,

a pink,

and white which blooms

in May and June.

My Friend's Garden/ Flowering Plants

My friend's garden is full of flowers: Mandevilla in two

colors,

Abultilon,

Alstroemeria in two

colors,

Four O'Clocks (Mirabilis jalapa),

and Pelargonium.

My Friend's Garden/ Part 2

In my friend's garden are chairs and benches,

near the herbs and vegetables and

out under the trees.

A grassy area is bordered by

vines and

fruit trees: lemon, pomegranate, apple and plum.

My Friend's Garden

Stepping through the gate to my friend's garden

I see the raised beds of herbs,

a potting area with a presiding Garden Goddess,

pumpkin and squash seedlings,

tomato plants and

a box of tools ready to go.

California Poppies

Last fall I scattered California poppy(Eschscholizia californica) seeds.

Now the plants are blooming.

I am hoping that they will drop seeds and establish themselves permanently in my garden.

Hummingbirds

When I step outside the Hummingbirds begin to scold me for coming into THEIR yard.  They have built nests and are very busy gathering food.  They especially like the pomegranate flowers,

the Cana Lilies,

Abutilon,

Tree Mallow,

Nasturtiums,

the Salvias in red,

and blue,

and the Agapanthus.
